Rebuilding, gardening and recycling projects led by female leaders of the Moravia neighborhood in Medellín. Once a dump yard, Moravia is today a place flourishing with culture, color and captivating flower gardens.

OUR STORY

The moravia neighbourhood started out as the dumpster of Medellín, were the piles of garbage would be 70 meters tall. It´s initial inhabitants were refugees from the countryside seecking for a better economical future, bur garbage was their primary source por food and cloathing. In 1984 the dumpster was closed and in the 1990´s the massive transportation of Medellin conected it´s inhabitants to the city. Today the women from the neighbourhood tell it´s story of resilience.

Business Idea

Organize productive and sustainable local vegetable gardens, commercialize plants grown in greenhouses
